Time sure has gone by!

We have been in Oregon since August and I am now updating this blog. Shame, shame on me. I haven't taken many pictures of the place or used much of my camera since Gunter has it. He's back in Alaska and has been there since September; hopefully, he'll have some pics to share. Here's some updates:

Took a job as a long-term sub teacher and hated it...so I quit 3 weeks ago. Being unemployed for 3 weeks can really put a damper on the holidays. However, I was totally blessed to get a job with Oregon Institute of Technology and I start in a week. Its the technology university of the 6 Oregon Universities. Great job and great benefits! Have to tell you that there are only 4 major companies in Klamath....the University, Jeld-Wen, Merle Medical Center and Cooper Lumber. I was totally stoked and blessed by what the God has given me. I almost thought I had to take a job in the major city to get back into HR. Well, now I don't have to, yippee!

Well, puppy #2 is home. One thing about being unemployed, is it has given me time to acclimate to the pup and fix holes around my fence and such since she is a digger. She went under the fence on both sides of the neighbors. Now that she knows she can do so, she is finding every little hole to see if she can get her nose through the bottom of the fence. Every day I walk around the fence looking for areas that i need to put a log or something underneath it. She is extremely tenacious and another Skye all over, if not worse. Her energy and stubborness is beyond belief. She is a cutie, but definitely a handful. Nothing like Maxine (mama) who was a couch potato (just like the first pic). She is suppose to be the pic of the litter and the next champion. Cute, cute, cute. Here is a pic of her.

Remember Fannie Skye! Well shes all grown up now, but shes still out there fielding. She even has her own website! Check it out.

She is suppose to be home in December. Here is a pic that Jessica sent me. She is not only a handler, but she is also a photographer. If you like this pic, you will love her other ones on her site:

So let me tell you about Klamath Falls in the winter time! We had our 6 inches of snow a few days ago. I was so skeptic about driving, so Ive been staying home...that is until 2 days ago. I had to buy a set of studded tires since my truck was slipping and sliding. Now I feel safe and I dont mind driving around on the ice early in the morning. Brrrr this 17-30 degrees in the morning really is cold. I have to say, living in the Pacific Northwest is a pain in the butt during the winter. I think its going to take me awhile to get use to it, but the dogs love the snow and running around. I cant figure out how they keep their feet from freezing.

As far as the house...I really like it! Small but cozy. Its just nice to have my own place again. At least I can run around half naked and no one cares, but me...haha.

Anyway, thats it for me. I hope to get some pics soon and post.

Chow!
